Diffusion of Innovation for Organic Based Integrated Agriculture
Master Thesis Defense of candidate graduate of Development Studies on behalf of Raden Anita Kusumawardani was held on June 7, 2021. The Master Thesis Defense was held online via video conference.
Raden Anita Kusumawardani presented her study entitled “Diffusion of Innovation for Organic Based Integrated Agriculture”. Raden Anita Kusumawardani in her presentation explained that the agricultural sector in Indonesia nowadays has multi-dimensional problems where a need for increased agricultural production continues accompanied by an increasing population, a decline in the number of farmers, and the increasingly rapid conversion of agricultural land to settlements and industry. It forced the agriculture sector need immediately switch to the concept of sustainable agriculture.
Organic-based integrated agriculture is an innovation that the government has offered since 2010 but has not adopted in various regions. Anita explained that the study aims to understand the implementation of organic-based integrated agriculture by observing the diffusion process of innovation and describing the innovation adoption constraints, also the status of sustainable agriculture of adopter farmers.
The Master Thesis Defense was attended by Mr. Ir. Tubagus Furqon Sofhani, MA., Ph.D as a supervising lecturer and Mr. Dr. Drs. Suhirman, SH., MT and Mr. Dr. Ir. Sonny Yuliar as examiner.
Master Thesis Defense is one of the graduation requirements to obtain a Master's degree from the Bandung Institute of Technology.
